CLUBS · FLEETS · BUSINESS CLIENTS
Professional boat work.
Clear terms.
NEWMARINE works with private owners, clubs and marine businesses. We agree the scope in writing, document the work and make payment straightforward.
FOR ORGANISATIONS
One boat or a whole fleet.
We can discuss planned maintenance, inspections, repairs and retubing for sailing clubs, watersports centres, charter operators and other marine organisations. Work and capacity are agreed around the boats involved.
Discuss an agreementA written service agreement can set out:
- A named contact who can approve work for the club or business
- The boats covered, inspection schedule and agreed scope
- Rates, authorisation limits, invoicing and payment terms
- How changes, urgent work and collection are handled
We prepare the scope with you; a maintenance agreement is not a promise of automatic priority or a fixed turnaround unless we expressly agree it.
These are our standard working terms. The accepted written quotation or separate maintenance agreement records the details of an individual job. We make those details available before you authorise the work.
Agreeing the work
Photographs and messages help with an initial view. A final scope or firm quotation may require an inspection of the boat. We confirm the agreed work, materials, price or method of calculating it, any deposit and expected timing in writing before work begins.
We only carry out the agreed work. If inspection uncovers another problem or a change is needed, we explain its effect on cost and timing and ask for your approval before adding paid work.
Quotations, deposits & payment
The quotation sets out the price and payment stages for each job. Larger or made-to-order work, including retubing, normally requires a 50% deposit; the amount and its treatment if the job is cancelled are stated before payment. We issue a written invoice or receipt and accept payment by bank transfer. Payment dates for clubs and companies can be agreed in a separate service agreement.
NEWMARINE is not currently VAT registered. We do not charge VAT and cannot issue a VAT invoice. Our invoice shows the amount payable without a VAT line; a VAT-registered customer cannot reclaim VAT from it.
At the workshop
Please tell us about known damage, previous repairs, leaks or special handling needs. Remove loose valuables and personal equipment before drop-off. We record the agreed condition and scope as appropriate and take reasonable care of boats while they are with us.
Drop-off and collection are by arrangement. We will let you know when work is complete. Any special storage, transport or collection charges are discussed and agreed in advance; none are added without notice.
Timing & cancellation
Timescales are estimates unless a firm date is expressly agreed in writing. Delays caused by hidden defects, unavailable materials or a change of scope will be explained as soon as practical, with a revised plan.
If you wish to cancel, contact us promptly. We will explain any work already done and materials ordered for your job, then account for the deposit fairly under the agreed terms and applicable law. We do not treat every deposit as automatically non-refundable. Where a consumer has a legal right to cancel a distance or off-premises contract, we provide the required cancellation information and form with the job confirmation.
Model cancellation notice
To NEWMARINE, newmarineboats@gmail.com: I give notice that I wish to cancel my service contract for [description of work / boat]. Agreement date: [date]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]. Date of this notice: [date].
You can send a cancellation notice by email or another clear statement; use of this model is optional.
Workmanship guarantee & concerns
We offer a 12-month workmanship guarantee on the specific work we carry out, starting when the completed job is made available for collection. If a fault is caused by our workmanship, we will assess it and put it right without charge within a reasonable time.
The guarantee is for our work. It does not make unrelated old fabric, adjacent aged seams, accidental damage, misuse or later alterations new. Materials supplied as part of the job must still meet the agreed description and applicable legal standards. Any additional manufacturer warranty will be identified in the job paperwork.
If something is wrong, please contact us at newmarineboats@gmail.com with the job or invoice details and clear photographs. We will review the concern, arrange an inspection where needed, and explain the proposed remedy. This voluntary guarantee does not limit statutory consumer rights.
Clear records, fair resolution
We keep the quotation, approvals and job record so both sides can see what was agreed. Photographs provided for assessment are not published as marketing without permission. If a concern remains unresolved, contact us in writing so we can review the record and seek a fair solution.
These terms do not exclude or reduce any rights that a consumer has under Irish law. A club or business may agree additional written commercial terms for its fleet; those terms apply to that agreement.
